TIMEZONE(1) User Commands TIMEZONE(1) NAME timezone - display or set the system time zone SYNOPSIS timezone [-s time_zone] DESCRIPTION If no parameters are specified the value of the system time zone is printed. If the -s option is specified the new value for the system time zone must be specified. The time zone is represented as an offset for GMT. As an example, the time zone offset would be -6 for central time in the U.S. During daylight savings, the offset would be -5 for the central time zone.
