<h1>Disqus Comments</h1>

<p>The <code>disqus-comments</code> plugin adds support for Disqus comments to Lektor and
with its help you can have comments on your pages in no time. Once the plugin
is enabled a <code>render_disqus_comments</code> function is available for templates which
can render a disqus comment box. All you need to do for this is to create your
own Disqus community at <a href="https://publishers.disqus.com/engage" class="ext">Disqus Engage</a>.</p>
<p>Once you have created your community there you will be given a "short name"
which can then be used with this plugin.</p>
<h2 id="enabling-the-plugin">Enabling the Plugin</h2><p>First you need to enable the plugin. The following command will do that
for you:</p>

<h2 id="configuring-the-plugin">Configuring the Plugin</h2><p>The plugin has a config file that is needed to inform it about your
website. Just create a file named <code>disqus-comments.ini</code> into your
<code>configs/</code> folder and configure the <code>shortname</code> key with the name of
your disqus community:</p>

<h2 id="in-templates">In Templates</h2><p>Now you can add a discussion box to any of your templates by just using
the <code>render_disqus_comments</code> function. Just calling it is enough to
get the comment box:</p>

<p>Optionally the function accepts two arguments: <code>identifier</code> and
<code>url</code> to override the defaults. For more information have a look at
the disqus widget documentation.</p>
